Missionaries to Mongolia

Dear Pastor, friends and family,

The year 2006 was a whirlwind of activity:

Hutton Family
First, in Learning:
This may be the first time in my ministry (over 20 years) that I understand fully the relationship between surrender, commitment and faith. All three must work hand in hand. We can sometimes be surrendered but not be totally committed. We can surrender and be committed but not really live by faith--we try to do it ourselves. A person must know that they are doing what God wants them to do (surrender), be willing to do the job even if that means sacrifice in various forms (commitment) and trust that God will provide and, in our case, that God's people will catch our vision for Mongolia and allow God to provide through them (faith on all parts).

When you are dependent upon monthly support and love offerings to meet the most basic of needs, all three (surrender, commitment, faith) can be tested. God has been so good to us as He has met and meets our every need. We can sing with the Psalmist "I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations" (Psa. 89:1), or proclaim as Paul did in I Corinthians that "God is Faithful".

Second, In Activity
During the second half of 2006 we were able to be in several churches to present our call and burden for Mongolia. God blessed with over 10 saved and many coming to the alter for various reasons. One special service saw over 30 people at the alter want to "make a difference" (Jude 22)

In May I had the opportunity to travel to Tanzania and in August Marilyn and I were in Mongolia. When not on the road we all stay busy at our home church. I help out with the sound system, teach a class or help make hospital calls. A big part of my time is spent trying to contact churches for upcoming meetings. Marilyn stays busy singing and helping with the women in RU (Reformers Unanimous). If you're not familiar with this program you should check it out. Tiffani is very active in the youth department plus helps in Awana and Caraway (Jr. Church). She is going into the second half of her sophmore year at Massillon Christian School which really keeps her busy.

We look to 2007 with great anticipation. I still have many dates yet to fill, but once again God is faithful. There are several churches that said they would contact us the first of the year to schedule meetings. We also have a couple of churches that have told us that they are taking us on for support the first of the year (Praise the Lord!). If you have a date available and would like for us to come and present our field, please let me know. You can check out our web site for more details and if you would like to have one of our DVD's, please email me.

PRAYER REQUEST: I have been asked to go to Mongolia in July and stay for a month or more to hold meetings and speak for a couple of weeks at one of the Universities. You are not allowed to "teach" religion but you can give the differences between Buddhism and true Christianity. Presently, I do not have the finances to do this. In order for me to take advantage of this opportunity I am going to need around $2,500.00. Please pray with us that God will provide and that the doors will remain open.

We trust that you have a blessed and fruitful 2007.

Yours for Mongolia,

Bob and Marilyn Hutton

I should mention that in December we had a family photo taken. In the back from left to right is Tiffani, our middle daughter Tara, our son-in-law Brad Carpenter who is married to our oldest daughter Trisha.
