April 2007
Dear Pastor and friends,
I Corinthians 15:12 "For if Christ be preached that he rose from the
dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?"
We
are reminded that in a country where over 96% of the people are
Buddhist, not only do they not believe in the resurrection of Christ,
they do not believe in death as we know it. Buddhist believe in
reincarnation so that they may live possibly 100's of lives to achieve
the state of Nirvana. They do not believe in the saving power and
resurrection of Christ. If they have even heard of Christ, which
in most cases is unlikely, they look at him as no different than any
other person who may reach Nirvana.
Did you notice the first part of verse 12? "For if Christ be
preached...". That is our purpose in going to Mongolia, to preach the
death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the sole means of salvation.
In so doing, we can say with Paul as he said in verse 11; "...so we
preach, and so ye believed."
God
has blessed us greatly this past month. We have had the opportunity
to be in some great churches. Thank you! I do not have
the space to thank everyone who has been so gracious. I do want to
thank all of those who have begun to partner with us on a monthly
basis. We know that the rewards will be eternal. A special thank you
to Clermont Baptist Church for providing us with a new laptop and
digital camcorder! God continues to supply!
